Carbohydrates is the first thing your body burns when it needs some energy. The idea behind cutting carbs from your diet is that as your body needs energy and there is a carb shortage so your body burns fat instead hence you lose weight. So yes in the short term cutting carbs from your diet may make you lose weight. But denying your body of something that should make up between 1/3 to 2/3 of bodily requirements is not good for your overall health in the long term.

Most dieters are unsuccessful because they have difficulty keeping to the diet plan. It might be hard to accept what I am going to say but the secret to good health and slim waist is to keep to a balanced diet with all the requirements of your body in the right proportions, that include carbohydrate, protein, vitamin and mineral. Add to with a healthy exercise routine that is enjoyable and sustainable. That all you need for a happier and healthier life.
So, "Will cutting carbs help me lose weight?" yes in the short term but there are far easier, healthier and fun ways to do it.
